I started a private fund for plus in May this year, if you know what I mean. I shall follow Warren Buffett's ways in this. May be a bit trading using George Soros' ways too?

Restaurant Chain
In early October, 2007, we spotted an opportunity of acquiring an about to be auctioned nasi kandar restaurant. We won't let go of this opportunity. According to my calculation, a successfully developed nasi kandar chain/franchise has enormous growth rate that surpass all other projects of ours. But the works and challenges ahead will be daunting. Are we going to let go when the time is tough? No! We shall pursue until we get it!

In November, 2007 we still lack of US$6,470 (US$1.00 = RM3.40) to block the bank from proceeding to legal action against former owners of the shoplot. Time is running out and no help is in sight yet. We shall prevail and presevere. At the moment we offer anyone who can lend us the money with return of 50% within 6 months, paying equal amount each month, i.e. US$1,617 every month for 6 months. God bless us.
We had got the money finally and signed all the documents in December 2007. But the owner insisted on selling to others at last minute. We are negotiating another corner lot nearby. Trust in God.
On 28 of Jan, 2008 with blessing of almighty God, we opened our restaurant. So many things we went through but one thing for sure: God helps us. The basic training given by Joseph Murphy and Napoleon Hill really helped. They are our great mentors. Income for first few days fluactuate at around US$100 to US$150 (US$1 = RM3.2) per day. But I believe we can achieve US$900 a day. God blesses us at all time. Here is the photo of Fauzi and his wife, Zaiton, in front of the restaurant.
Second week (2/2/08 ~ 2/8/08) income ranged from US$90 to US$200. Too much up and down. Have to stablize the trend. Third week (9/2/08~15/2/08) income ranged from US$130 to US$250. Some improvement. Believe, achieve, that's our motto at the moment.
In May, Fauzi was found not focusing enough on the restaurant. He still travelled back and forth between Penang and KL unnecessarily, not to mention his night time class. Since he's not ready for success, he's no longer my partner. Besides, the shoplot is in dire financial woe due to mismanagement of previous owner. I think it should be closed for good.

We Shall Trade Properties
On 29/04/2008, I booked a unit of apartment in Seberang Jaya, costing about US$12,180 (US$1 = RM3.15) at property auction house at Northam Tower, Georgetown, Penang. Already paid 20%. Need to withdraw saving from Employee Provident Fund (EPF) to settle the rest. I have 90 days only for all this.
For the past 1 week (started from 16 Sept 2007), I have been seacrhing properties rigorously around Penang and Klang Valley. With help from Mat, Fauzi and Admar. I have calculated the potential return from this venture. And I want all of them to get involved.
On 26/09/2007, I attended a seminar in investing auctioned properties, offered by AssetFirst. Their idea is good and utilise leverage of general public. But perhaps out idea is also good as we utilise leverage of financial instutions and general public.
On 06/10/2007, I attended a recruitment seminar about Blue Ocean Strategy. Key points: 1) in this new era of doing business, first, we must spot trend and opportunities; 2) second, the big industry coming up will be bio-technology and herbal medecine; 3) go online and go franchise.
Yeah, I agree with all these statements but I'm not into their business model at the moment. Perhaps something bigger can be derived from those points. It'll be either created by me or someone else. But I prefer to make the former happen.

We set up our first company
On 28th of August (Tuesday). My partner, Fauzi, and I set up our first partnership (Fauzi Joe Enterprise) to jump start our fish farming business. Fauzi will be attending a fish farming and breeding course this week. We spent US$20 for the company registration. Our work has just begun. Fauzi is good at that, I have trust in him.
How long else do we need to wait for our cyber cafe venture? I believe it won't be long.I am working in my mind how this cyber cafe franchise should be like..
Anyway, either 2808 or 0828 is a good number to start. I am confident.

In the Beginning..
Today is the first day of my posting.. at Netcity Sg. Nibong, Penang.
WOE in 1 hour. This is important routine activity.
I have so many things to say; I have so little time to accomplish my dream..
First, I will start up a catfish farm and a cyber cafe in soonest possible time with my partners, Fauzi & Faisal (hence the double F). Do we have financial means to accompish these? We don't know. But we need to start.
Catfish farm goal: We want to provide fresh and nutritious source of protein to people.
Cybercae goal: We want to give kids a good place to mix around with friends and play games.
How long will this blog last? As long as Google still around?
On Monday (16 Sept 2007), I suddenly had another business idea: trade and rent out properties. I shall proceed this with full force as it really can generate return in relatively short time. At the same time I want to help poor people acquire low or medium cost houses at reasonable price.
In early October 2007, we decided to pursue a restaurant chain.
Faisal was found out in November, 2007 not a calculated-risk taker. Hence he is not suitable to join us from there on. He will only be qualified again after he changes his personality profile.
In May, 2008, I parted with Fauzi because he's not ready to be successful. His priority was not rightly set.
